Caller display, sometimes known as calling line identification (CLI) is a popular network function which enables users to see a caller's number displayed on an LCD screen. Not only does it enable business users to offer customers a friendlier, more personal service over the phone, it also benefits domestic customers who may profer to see who's calling before they pick up. Many phones are CLI compatible and some manufaturers produce seperate caller display units.
