Digital cordless phones (or DECT phones) are the logical choice for the discriminating user. Prices have fallen and specifications have improved to include many features such as CLI, voice prompted dialling, base station dialling, high capacity name and number directories, multi-base station working and interchangeable fascias. Whilst becoming more compact, digital cordless phones offer increasing levels of performance including, in many cases, the ability to work with headsets.

• Most digital cordless phones support additional handsets. Once the base station is plugged into the telephone line, additional handsets can be positioned anywhere around the house or office without the need for additional wiring.
